The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important traditional festivals in China It has a very long history.

When the Mid-Autumn Festival is near, people send "Moon Cakes" to their friends and relatives. On the evening of the day, all family members get together. After dinner, they go outside to look at the moon and eat moon cakes. It is believed that the moon is at her brightest on that night.
